On April 21st a Career Tech Legislative Social was held at Fayette County High School and Representatives Daniel Bowman and Mike Millican were in attendance as well as State Board of Education Member Gary Warren. Career and Technical Directors, Teachers, CTSO Members/students were also present at the meeting. The meeting was arranged to bring awareness to and support for the meaningful Career Tech programs that we have available in west Alabama and our state. The following systems were invited Haleyville City, Jasper City, Tuscaloosa City, Fayette County, Lamar County, Marion County, Tuscaloosa County, Walker County and Winston County.  We appreciate our Representatives taking their time to attend the event.

The Haleyville Center of Technology at Haleyville City Schools offers career and technical education programs to all students in our district. These programs are designed to prepare youth for a broad range of employment and further education and are offered under the guidance of certified teachers.

All career and technical education programs follow the system’s policies of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, and disability in all programs, services, activities, and employment. In addition, arrangements can be made to ensure that the lack of English language proficiency is not a barrier to admission or participation.
