Director

It is a blessing to have the opportunity to serve you at the Haleyville Center of Technology. Like all of the schools at Haleyville City, the Center of Technology has a first class staff that is helping students open the door to their future. The advantage however at the Center of Technology comes through the career pathways, real life skills, and multiple opportunities that we offer our students. These opportunities help the Center of Technology students acquire the real world skills that they need to be successful today and in the future.

Haleyville Center of Technology currently serves over 450 students in the Haleyville area and provides students with quality, hands-on training in six career and technical programs. In addition to the courses, the Haleyville Center of Technology has articulation agreements with Northwest Shoals Community College and Bevill State Community College and is working on dual enrollment drafting and welding for the 2009-2010 school year on a scholarship basis. This means that students that participate in our programs can and will have a future when they leave our school if they apply themselves while on our campus.

On behalf of the HCT staff, I would like to welcome you to our website. By visiting our website, you've taken the first step toward acquiring or helping your child acquire the skills and expertise to be successful in today’s job market and the job market of the future. Whether you or your child is headed to college, technical school, or the workforce, we have something for you at the Center of Technology right now.  Open the door to your future today by finding your pathway at the Haleyville Center of Technology.

Sincerely,
William “Bill” Bishop
Career Technical Director (Interim)
Haleyville City Schools
