The Haleyville Center of Technology was established in 1973 in order to better prepare students for the world of work. DECA Students scrore big with 19 students out of 22 qualifying for state!

Haleyville DECA students took an On-Line test competing against students from the entire Northern District (Birmingham schools systems ->North) for the opportunity to qualify for State competition. The top 8 scores (per event) earn the privilege to compete at the State level.

Make-up Weather Days

We will make up the first weather day on Friday, February 12th. The second weather day will be made up on Wednesday, March 17th. We will still be out on February 15th and March 15th-16th if we have no further weather problems.

School will begin at 10:00am on 1/7/2010 and 1/8/2010 due to possible hazardous weather conditions in our area. This means that busses will run two hours later than usual. Please listen to the news for additional information concerning school openings/closings and dismissals. These will be provided as weather conditions change in our area. Our top priority is keeping your children and our students safe!

Fabian Cortez is the 4A Boys Cross Country State Champion

Finance and Business Marketing Teacher Neina Middleton says that she gave Fabian pointers throughout the season. But most importantly she attributes his success to taking Career Tech courses at the Center of Technology. Thanks Mrs. Middleton and congratulations to Fabian for finishing first and to the Boys' Cross Country team for finishing 3rd at the State meet. Way to go running lions!
