Indy Car Invitation for Auto Technology Students

The Haleyville Auto Technology Class has been invited by Barbers Motorsports Park for the Honda Indy Grand Prix presented by LEGACY March 31, 2012. This invitation was one of three throughout the State of Alabama.

Mr. Batchelor is very excited that the class received this invitation. The students will help with hospitality in the morning of March 31, 2012, but the afternoon will included paddock (pit pass) passes, time trails, meals and t-shirts. This is an honor for Mr. Batchelor Haleyville High School and the Haleyville Center of Technology.

Leo's Loveliest Information

The Junior Division of Leo's Loveliest has been changed due to weather conditions and will be held on Saturday 3/3/12 at 2:30PM. Jr. Division girls should report at 12:00 and preliminaries will be at 12:30. Doors will open at 2:00PM for the public. The pageant will begin at 2:30PM. We apologize for the changes.
The Senior Division will be held as planned. Sr. Division girls should report 5:00PM and door will open at 7:00PM for the public. The pageant will begin at 7:30PM.

STI Home Portal

2011-2012 brought a huge change in the way student data is managed in Alabama schools. The State Department of Education (SDE), in conjunction with Software Technology Incorporated, launched STI Now. The new student management system is able to integrate many different types of data used for reporting. The SDE requires schools to report student and teacher information to various departments. This information is used for a variety of reasons from tracking student achievement to the monitoring of a teacher's certification. One of the great additions to this software is what it offers parents.

The New Year is a time for reflection and for looking ahead and at Haleyville High School and the Haleyville Center of Technology we are very excited to begin the 2nd half of the 2011-2012 school year and we look forward to the progress that we will make over the next few months. It is our New Year’s resolution to ensure that all students continue to gain the skills to make them productive citizens but we can’t do this alone!

The Haleyville Center of Technology at Haleyville City Schools offers career and technical education programs to all students in our district. These programs are designed to prepare youth for a broad range of employment and further education and are offered under the guidance of certified teachers.
